Homemade Garlic Infused Olive Oil and Garlic Confit - This super-easy homemade recipe takes only 5 minutes of prep time and requires only 3 basic ingredients. By simply slow-roasting garlic cloves in oil, you can make homemade garlic confit or garlic-infused oil for a delicious, caramelized garlic flavour that is a wonderful addition to any meal!

Ingredients

  • 40 cloves of garlic (i used prepackaged cloves)
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • Herbs (rosemary, thyme, basil...etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees F.
  2. In a small cast-iron skillet (or another oven-safe dish), add all the ingredients.  Place the baking dish in the oven for 1 hour or until the garlic just begins to brown.
  3. Remove from oven and allow to cool before transferring to an airtight glass jar.  Place in the fridge if not used immediately.
